Welcome to Ivy House

We are a multifaceted company focused on literacy and family advocacy. Our mission is to foster a love of reading, comprehension and inquisitiveness in every child. Our books will examine everyday matters from a unique perspective, and they’ll also make you giggle! May the vibrant illustrations draw you in and the words of our stories be the keys to unlocking your imagination. Through reading our books, children will love to learn and to read because they will feel seen and respected by the stories we are telling.

Ivy House books also encourage engagement outside of the story. Many of our books include age appropriate conversation starters, vocabulary building exercises, games and comprehension questions that are easy to incorporate into lessons, book group sessions and other discussions. We provide these tools with the goal of building home and community libraries that are vibrant and thriving.

Ivy House begins its success with giving back. For every 10 books purchased, we’ll be donating 1 book to one of our many Chicagoland organizations that serve families, such as community centers; therapy groups; shelter; housing; foster, and adoption agencies; childcare centers; schools; libraries and more. We encourage you to submit suggestions for donations in your community as well. You can also help us advocate right away by purchasing a book directly for a child, family, classroom, or any other recipient.
